Interview:
1. So what gave you the idea for a blanket with Link holding a piece of Triforce on it?
-It's a very iconic image. I think if there's a single image that embodies the full experience of the game(s), that's it. I had wanted to make a blanket like that for a while, but I didn't get around to it until someone on Etsy specifically requested it. Since then, it's become my most requested blanket.

2. When did you start sewing?
-I've been sewing for a long time, but I started the videogame-related stuff about 3 or 4 years ago.

3. This blanket looks quilted, is it?
-It is. All my blankets have the image on the front, a plain back, and a lightweight polyester filling.

4. What did you use to make this?
-I use cotton fabrics and thread and put them all together with my Singer sewing machine.

5. Do you have friends that do crafts also?
-No, not really. My friends get their creativity out in other ways (writing, hairdressing, drawing).

6. What other types of things do you make?
-In addition to my blankets and pillows, I've recently started making carrying cases for the Nintendo DS. I've just started learning to knit too. I also spend some time drawing and I stockpile things I think I can some day use in crafts (empty jars, old light bulbs), but haven't gotten to yet.

7. What was you favorite item that you've ever made?
-I love using the triforce in creations. For such a simple symbol, it holds a lot of meaning. Every gamer can identify with it and it brings to mind a whole set of feelings and experiences. And that is sort of the epitome of all the things I quilt: I start with a bunch of meaningless squares and come out with something that has meaning.

8. How long did this blanket take you to make?
-Blankets usually take me anywhere between 4 and 7 days depending on how busy I am.

9. What do your friends/family say about your creations?
-Everyone I know seems really impressed. I'm proud of the things I make, but it still makes me blush to get compliments. =)

10. What other interests or hobbies do you have?
-Obviously, I'm a gamer. I have to be in order to enjoy making so many videogame themed things. In addition to my gaming, crafting, and drawing, I like to read. I'm really into urban fantasy books right now (things like the Dresden Files and Mortal Instruments series, but especially Rob Thurman's Nightlife and Moonshine).

Thanks Punzie! your crafts are totally wizard!
