Phantom Hourglass-Short Review

There really is no other way of putting it. Phantom Hourglass is an amazing handheld game. It's fun, it has a great story, it has good 3D graphics(for a handheld), it has a wonderful soundtrack, a great re-play value(how fun it is to play it over and over again), and it even has multi-player wifi. For those of you who won't buy it because of the cell-shaded graphics, you are really missing out alot. As a Zelda game, it gives another chunck to the timeline and it is exactly what you'd expect a good Zelda game to be. This game has gone along in my top-favorite Zelda games. The amount of fun and ingenuity with the controlls is amazing. It's by far, the funnest Zelda game you will ever play. The only thing really bad about this game is the battle mode. While I don't agree it isn't fun, I still think that if Nintendo didn't rush a feature into a game, then they could create a good "multi-player"part to a Zelda game. Now on to the scores:

Gameplay- 10.0
The gameplay is so amazing the way they did "all-touch" controls. It not only makes the game fun, but easy to play. Allthough everything is touch, there are still things that you can use the buttons for; the best example being hold [L] or [R] to pull out a weapon. The gameplay overall gets a 10.0. For fun, easy to use controls, ingenuity, and it adding alot to the re-play value.

Graphics- 8.3
While not the "best" graphics in the world, PH brings a new defenition to the 3D handheld game. Some people argued that the cel-shaded style made the graphics worse overall. I disagree. I think that it was a smart move to do 3D cel-shaded on a handheld. Although I'm not a fan of WW or the ce-shaded style; I think that cel-shaded is the way to go on a handheld and not on a Wii or something. I think that graphics aren't the most important part of a game. So with that said, I give an 8.3 for them being smart and knowing the limitations of a handheld, the actual graphics themself and because I hate pie.

Story- 9.2
A very nice follow-up on WW. This is one of the best sequel stories i've seen other than MM. I don't know much about what to say about it other than the simple fact that I love it. An overall 9.2.

Music/Sound- 8.7
Oh how I loved the music in this game. The quality is just wonderful and always fits the mood of where you are just like the other Zelda games. There were some things that weren't that great about it so it gets an 8.7.

Overall- 9.5
Overall a GREAT game, and a must buy for all Zelda fans. If you don't get this, then you are either poor, or your not a Zelda fan.... :D
